Frequently Asked Questions

What is your COVID policy?

Everyone must be fully vaccinated in accordance with Austrian law and wear an FFP2-mask to participate in our 6-week improv classes. As of now, you do not need to wear a mask or provide proof of vaccination for our events at Aera. Non-compliance with our COVID-policy does not entitle you to a refund.

Can I participate without improv experience?

Yes. Improv 101 and the Playground do not assume any prior experience with improvisational theater. We will teach you everything you need to know.

Can I try out one of your classes?

Absolutely. Come join us for the American Improv Playground. You can watch others play or play along yourself. It's a great way to experience improv in a safe space.

Do I have to be a native speaker of English?

No. Many of our students are not native speakers of English. In fact, improv can be a great way to improve your spoken English. However, English is the language of instruction and a basic command of the language is assumed and necessary.

Do you offer classes in German?

While we currently do not offer classes in German, we are happy to organize a training or workshop for you or your organization in German. Please email us to schedule a private improv training.

Which types of payment do you accept?

Classes must be paid in full by the beginning of the first class session. We accept payment by card or bank transfer. Show tickets sold online via oeticket and at the door (cash only).

Do you offer refunds?

In accordance with Austrian law, there is no right to cancellation for scheduled leisure services such as American Improv events. All purchases are final. Partial refunds are excluded.

Still have questions? Email us or write us on WhatsApp. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
